When we diagnose someone as having a resistant skin we mean a skin that is strong and can tolerate quite a bit of treatment. Usually the questions we ask to find if a skin is resistant are reactive based questions. If patients tend to develop redness and rashes, sensitive to certain metals/jewelry, and a highly reactive skin then they are do not have resistant skin. A resistant skin can typically withstand treatment including friction and products with no problems.
