My understanding is that Pyruvic acid is not to be used in 4-6 skin types. What are the recommendations if a patiend experiences irritation and downtime if the peel is only left on for 2 minutes?

Pyruvic acid 20% is used extensively Fitzpatrick 4-6. Follow the time of application and the subject of layers within the Protocol & Management Guide in order to avoid any discomfort or risk of over stimulation. If experiencing reactions then neutralize the peel with NOON’s Peel Neutralizer and rinse well with water. No permanent damage will occur.
